Hi All,

I have finally decided to post my site.

bmvpropertyinvestmentdeals co uk

Using Joomla 1.5.x
Or 2.5.x
Rockettheme.com template (terran tribune heavily customised)
Community Builder using the CB login module.
Acajoom Pro newsletter
BCA RSS feeds
Custom RSS generator script
Custom Twitter update script
SRE SEF patch component
SEF service map component
Qcontacts component
Noixacl Access Control Component

Custom made client relationship management component
Custom made online reservation component.
Custom made Full paypal processing using the paypal API
Custom SMS text component for 'A' List users.
Blogping component to push the blog post direct to 18 blog directories for SEO
Twitter article component to post blog to twitter acc.
XHTML Valid
CSS level 3 valid

I have used the Acajoom Pro coupled with the Jumi component to manually send property alerts out by email depending on the clients subscription, with a custom script generating the output fed directly to the acajoom email sent to  clients.

I have tweaked the OR unordered list output to generate ticks for checkbox style listing elements.

I have a custom twitter script that uses the above emails to post details with a link onto twitter.

I have custom made several addons to provide the following.

1.Correct url's for SEF links to listings, fixing the active menu problem when linking to search results.
2.Dynamically generate currency symbols depending on the country of the property.
3.Dynamically generate the property title dependent on category
4.Customised imgsold component to generate image overlays
5.Many other simple template addons to generate complex outputs depending on the property details.

The site shows different listing templates depending on the status of the property, this was done using PHP in the template file.

I believe I have expunged all traces of OR from the Joomla output.

This site is kind of a labour of love, 14 months in the making and still working on lots of new functionality, but am now happy with the esscence of the site.

The site also displays properties differently depending on public/user/agent/admin

If you want to register to look around please put the word TEST in the name field.

Any Q's feel free, though I am busy so may not respond immediately.

Any comments are welcome.

Good work!

Does Joomla/OR automatically calculate % Discount Off - or do you manually input that for each property?

I reaaly like this site, you seem to overcome many of the issues I am now facing.

One of which I hope you can help me with. in the listing java layout you have  managed to get the mainimage to change succesfully when you click on the thumbnail of an image. How have you managed to acheve this as so many on this forum are having this issue.

I know it is something to do with javascript confclit with the template.

Any help you can give woud be much appreciated.

Thanks Lloyd
