I am working on finding a good bug tracker/feature request system that works with Joomla. Until I do, we can use the forum for feature requests.

I have already begun work on CMS Realty 2.1. The new features I plan to add are:

  • A simplified code base
  • Automatic install of the quicksearch, random, and featured listings modules
  • Automatic install of the new user plugin
  • Automatic install of the SEF Service Map plugin (if you have SEF Service Map installed)
  • Automatic install of the (upcoming) Artio JoomSEF plugin (if you have Artio JoomSEF installed)
  • Automatic install of the (upcoming) sh404SEF plugin (if you have sh404SEF installed)
  • Full 2 way user sync functions (Joomla => OR and OR => Joomla)
  • User suggested features

I want to make CMS Realty the best Joomla component available for any type of listing system. I need your suggestions to make that happen.

With the featured module, would be really really helpful if you could define the image size, without effecting the other thumbnails.

Fix the SEO Title Keyword and Description issues.

We need to have the Title Meta and Descriptions work driven off from the Joomla Navigation Platform both Categories and Sub Categories. Then When A listing in Chosen use the Dynamic Feature in Open Realty.

The way CMS Realty Plug in currently handles This need some polishing up.

I installed RSSEO so that in the Category Fields I have Title,Keywords,Description Fields. Now Each Page we navigate to can be controlled. How ever its the Searches and the Actually listings at this point should be dynamically dont through Open Realty/CMS Realty Plug in.

I am going to pay someone to Fix this for my current site and I will donate the page page to you to include in future releases.

If this is a change someone else has done please let me know.

Deleted post.

I was hitting the save button at the top of joomla instead of the submit button at the bottom of the listing page

I am not sure if this is within your scope.

1. Allow member or agent to create their account thru cmsrealty
2. cmsrealty/joomla/Open-realty share the same password security. This will allow a user to login directly to Joomla, cmsrealty and open-realty at any time.

Being able to have a video not slide show spot on the template interface would be great. Ability for 25 images like realtor.com helpful too. Thanks Andy

Joomla plugin support - the type that allows me to include {plugin} or {plugin}values{/plugin} in other content, like the Listing Description, and have this replaced with the other plugin generated content.

This has my vote. This really is a no brainer and would mean that you would no longer need the OR page editor, which basicly is NAFF anyway.

Well I think the cmsrealty its amazing, Where I have more questions/needs is directly to the OR, so if theres any chance to add any extra things to edit it, it will be great...

( I know that when the or is update all the changes will be lost, but still alot of things will wort the extra work, like using images insted of plain text for the links like email this to a friend, contact agen..... an autotatic copy to the admin when an email is send trough contact agent... many of those hahaha)

But at the end of the day is the best out there...

Hi there.
A couple of things:
The "save search" etc, option would be good
More importantly, I think a good feature would be an "intelligent" search module. Eg: After selecting the Class, it would limit the items in the subsequent selectable search options. This would minimize the "no listings found" issue. It would also make it a lot easier for the user to find what they are looking for.

GREAT component by the way! Any idea when the new update will be out?

Take care.
